  • About Bernice

    Bernice Cheng graduated with a Bachelor of Laws (Hons) from the University of London (External) in 2010 and completed her certificate of Legal Practice (CLP) in 2012. Bernice was admitted as an Advocate and Solicitor of the High Court of Malaya in October of 2014. 


    After returning to Sarawak, Bernice commenced her pupillage in Chong Brothers Advocates. Upon her admission as an Advocate of Sarawak in November of 2016, she practised with Chong Brothers Advocates in the area of general litigation particularly in labour law, banking, debt recovery bankruptcy, tenancy disputes, family law, guardianships and adoption until _____ of 2020 before she set up Messrs. S. Y. Cheng Advocates. 


    Since setting up the firm, Bernice continues to take up a range of briefs in various areas of law including employment and labour law, conveyancing, litigation, wills and estates, family law and general legal advice (read more on the firm's practice areas).


    Bernice also graduated with a Bachelor of Science (Business Information Systems) from Campbell University, North Carolina in 2004.
